Hi
guys!
Last
week I went to the hairdresser because I really needed a new hair cut, my hair
was getting too long and it really suffered by all the exposing of the sun. It
was that damaged that they had to cut a lot of my hair. As much as I love
shorter hair on other women, I don't particularly like it on myself. That
brings me to the point why I’m writing this post. Sometimes the
hairdresser has to cut a lot of your hair in order to keep it healthy (or they
just completely screwed it up) Whatever happend to your hair, you really want
to get it back (and fast!!).
Instead of you searching the internet for hours, I did all the work and gathered a couple of tips for you. So let’s get started and get that long, healthy, shiny looking hair back!
The
tips I put below are the ones that are quick and manageable in a busy schedule.
Have fun trying!
#1: Don't wash your scalp with conditioner.
This
may sound really weird but it actually really works. How it works: wash your
hair like you usually do, but instead of applying your conditioner on your
scalp and the length of your hair, you should only apply the conditioner on
your length. This because applying conditioner on your scalp will not only
create frizzled and messy looking hair, it also tends to weigh your hair down,
gives you dandruff and it will make your hair looks greasy a lot faster. To
make sure you apply the conditioner on the length of your hair, just make a
ponytail and apply the conditioner from the hair elastic down.
#2:
Do not brush your hair when it is wet.
However,
when you’re in a hurry and need to brush your hair, use a comb. This will not
break your hair as fast as brushing does.
#3:
Do not blow-dry, straight or curl your hair everyday.
It
may look really cute, but you’re not doing your hair a favor. I do
understand that not everyone is blessed with natural, beautiful looking hair
and some hair just really need some work. If you aren’t
one of those people with natural, beautiful looking hair just make sure you
apply serum in your hair before you are taming your wild bush of hair, or even
better, blow dry your hair with cold air
#5:
Try to put some natural product in your daily routine
It’s
always better to use natural products because in that way you’re not putting any chemicals in your hair. However, it can be really
expensive to buy natural products and that’s why I
searched for a couple of quick and easy recipes to make a mask for your hair. I
put the recipes below:
The
oil mask
This
one is really easy and you don’t need a lot of difficult
ingredients which name you can’t even pronounce. Just
take an oil you like, I like to use the coconut oil, heat it up( not to hot!),
apply it on your scalp and the length of your hair and give your scalp a nice
massage. Leave the oil in your hair and on your scalp for 30 minutes and wash
it out afterwards. This will give you nice, shiny hair! Other examples of oils
you could use are jo- joba oil (which is also very good for your skin), olive
oil or sesam oil, just use whatever oil you like the most. Have fun!
The mayonaise mask
This
one is super easy. All you need is one egg and olive oil. Take the yolk of the
egg and one teaspoon olive oil and put it in a bowl. Mix it until it becomes a
substance of mayonaise. Apply the mixture in the length of your hair and on
your scalp. Cover your hair with a bathing cap or plastic foil for 20 minutes
and wash your hair afterwards. Enjoy!
The ginger mask
Grate
a large piece of ginger in fine pieces and add two to three teaspoons of
coconut oil or another oil you like. Apply it in wet hair and give your hair a nice
massage. Leave it in for 30 minutes, rinse it out and wash it afterwards. This
will give your hair a boost and the shiny hair you want.
The honey mask
And
last but not least the honey mask. For really shiny hair, the honey mask is
probably the best mask you could use. This mask helps to restore the natural
moisture balance of your hair and makes your hair more shiny. Apply half a cup
of honey into your hair, leave it in for around 20 minutes and wash it
afterwards. For better results, cover your head with a bathing cap or some
plastic foil.Thank you guys for reading and let me know how these tips worked
out for you!
XOXO
great tips girl :)
